an eight-year stay in New York City, Jon saw the error
of his ways and relocated to Austin, Texas, where he now

Brandon
Smith – Drum Kit
Nickname: "Hi-res"
Though a native Texan, Brandon spent most of his childhood on Army posts
around the
world. He started what would become a life long romance with the drums in
middle
school when he joined the band. After playing orchestral and marching
percussion
through public school, Brandon logically went on to study nuclear
engineering at
Texas A&M.
Once this brief insanity had run its course, he continued his music
education at
McLennan Community College in Waco eventually graduating from P.I.T. in
Hollywood,
CA in 1998. Throughout his college career, Brandon played in a number of
bands
around Texas ranging from Top 40 Country cover bands to modern/alternative
rock
groups. He was even in a disco band called Sloppy Joe where he developed his
affinity for absurdly loud stage shirts.
Brandon moved to Austin in April of 2003 and promptly began playing with
many different bands around town, until joining the H&R band in September
2003.
